Chris Kocher and Steve Weiss are co-founders and
managing directors of Grey Heron. Chris and Steve each have over twenty-one
years of hands-on and executive experience in technology, marketing,
business development and general management. They have known each other
since their HP days together, back in 1983.

Chris, with a Columbia MBA in marketing
and international business, went on to become an HP marketing executive.
During ten years at HP, he had management responsibility for laser
printers, office software, HP PCs, third party programs, and the
leading-edge HP NewWave. Chris went on to be a VP/GM at Symantec
with responsibility for one of the independent product groups. |

Steve started off 'deep technical',
with a BS and MS in computer science from MIT; four years of research
lab work at IBM and HP; developed a sexy and successful software
product; and then moved into marketing, business development and
management in 1984, with stints at HP, Ingres, Neuron Data (now
Blaze) and Central Point. |
